Calorx IIT-JEE, PMT Centre
Calorx IIT-JEE, PMT Centre was started in 2003 as an aide to students preparing for competitive exams after class 12. The centre had started its functioning with a total of 6 students in class 9(Foundation Course) and 6 students in class 11(Target Course).
The intervening years have witnessed an extremely healthy growth. The centre now has a total of 60 students enrolled in its Foundation Course in class 9 and 10.
The academic year 2008-09 holds special significance for the centre. After meticulous planning the centre has decided to start a separate section in class 11 for students preparing for IIT-JEE. A well planned course is in place which provides intensive training for pre-engineering exams like IIT-JEE while not neglecting the performance in ‘Board’ examination. This is a tailor made course for the ambitious and determined students and makes the most advantageous use of the time the student spends in school.
Selection to this Section is purely on merit. DPS students of class 10 are selected on basis of their performance in the Foundation course and/or on recommendation of the concerned subject teacher(s).
Non DPS students can also seek admissions to this course. The selection for non DPS students will be through a well designed admission test.
70% of the seats for the special section are already filled.

The training and study material are prepared under the guidance of experienced teachers of DPS as well as an external consultant. The entire course is designed in two modules. Module 1 is for the students of class IX and Module 2 is for students of class XI & XII. The detail of the program is as under:-
Admission to the course will be based on the current academic performance, potential for further study in a science subject and willingness to put in extra work in a strict and disciplined environment.
In addition to the coaching for the competitive exams we will provide support for the preparation for the board exams.
Wards of the school staff may avail the service at 50% concession. Fee is to be paid in five equal installments.
