Prerna is our special education school for children with Dyslexia. Prerna is on the DPS campus and has Individual Educational Programs (I.E.P) for children with Learning Disabilities.

• Project requirements : Special Education programs need Audio visual methods of teaching and Multi Media Enabled Computers and specialized software developed for teaching children with learning disabilities. Special books and programs for I.E.P. are also needed. Since computers are widely used for such programs, we also need to equip our school with new faster computers, printers and a L.C.D projector.  
• Assessment clinic : As a project of Prerna, we are setting up a Centre for Assessment and Counseling for children and parents of Ahmedabad. This center will be functional from January, 2006. It will help in assessing the I.Q of children and assist children and parents in giving guidance about academic, social and overall development of the child. The centre will be in a centrally located campus in the city and will cater to all the denizens of Ahmedabad. • National Dyslexic Forum : To promote nationwide awareness of Dyslexia, we are planning to set up a National Dyslexia Forum. The activities of the forum will be directed towards educating the community at large about Dyslexia and how children affected with dyslexia can be aided. To this end, we are planning to join hands with interested people all around India.
